Asia's Longest-running Global
Student Startup Competition

Bangkok Business Challenge: Asia’s Premier Global Student Startup Competition.

The Bangkok Business Challenge (BBC), hosted by Sasin School of Management in Bangkok, Thailand, is Asia’s longest-running global student startup competition. Established in 2002, BBC provides a highly competitive platform for undergraduate and postgraduate students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and business viability.

Since expanding to Asian and global regions in 2008, the competition has attracted top student entrepreneurs worldwide. Participants compete for the highly prestigious H.M. The King of Thailand’s Award, first bestowed by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX) and now granted by King Maha Vajiralongkorn (Rama X). In addition to this distinguished honor, teams have the opportunity to win over US$42,000 in cash prizes.

The competition’s judging panel, consisting of leading investors, entrepreneurs, and business executives, evaluates teams based on written business plans, live pitches, and venture exhibits, seeking the most investor-ready startup ventures.

In 2024, BBC attracted an impressive 276 teams from 62 educational institutions across 19 countries and 5 continents, solidifying its reputation as a truly global and prestigious entrepreneurial competition.
